Real Madrid call off bid for Man Utd's Van Nistelrooy

Real Madrid have called off a move for Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.

The Spanish giants had held talks with Van Nistelrooy's agent and had also been linked with Roma's Italian international Francesco Totti.

But Real president Florentino Perez said new coach Jose Antonio Camacho did not want to pursue either player.

Perez said: "I don't see either wearing white, Camacho wants to concentrate on other areas."
