Real Madrid brand Spurs Morientes bid as "ridiculous"

Real Madrid corporate director Carlos de Albornoz slammed Tottenham's offer for striker Fernando Morientes.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy tabled a £16 million bid for the Spanish international. However, the deal involved the London club only paying £4 million immediately as a down payment with the rest in installments.

Albornoz branded the offer as "ridiculous" yesterday.
