Real Madrid brace as Chelsea prepare Ronaldo offer

Real Madrid directors are bracing themselves for a bid from Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich for striker Ronaldo at the end of this season.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho has admitted in recent weeks that he will buy a big name player over the summer, though refused to mention any names.

Super agent Pini Zahavi, who has worked closely with Abramovich, is monitoring Ronaldo's situation at Real after the Brazilian criticised the club's management last week over being fined for poor time-keeping.

"I did not like finding out about the fine through the press," complained Ronaldo. The striker also was disappointed with comments from coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo about their relationship.

"I don't understand the things Luxemburgo said. My relationship with him is normal," he continued. "He a player is unhappy at one club, he can leave and sign for another where he will be appreciated."

"It happened to me at Barcelona and Inter Milan."

Its understood Ronaldo does not feel valued by some prominent members of the Real staff and Abramovich is ready to test the Spanish club's resolve with a major offer for the striker when the summer market opens.
