Real Madrid boss Mourinho: I always wanted Diarra to stay

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is adamant he wants to work with Lassana Diarra.

Diarra was linked with a move away over the summer.

Mourinho insisted last night: "The case on Lass is shut. He is our player and I never wanted him to leave."

"He wouldn't be able to play in the Champions League on any other side anyway."
