Real Madrid Boss Ancelotti Close To Renewing Contract While Brazil Agreement Doesn’t Exist, Reports AS

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti is closing in on a contract extension at the club while a previously-claimed agreement to lead the Brazil national team doesn't exist according to AS.

'Don Carlo' is currently enjoying a widely successful second stint in the Bernabeu dugout after being re-handed the reins by president Florentino Perez in 2021.

The following year saw him land a Champions League and La Liga double, and therefore become the four-time record winner of the elite European tournament among managers and the only tactician to clinch each of the continent's top five domestic championships.

In recent times, Ancelotti has been continually linked to the Brazil national team manager's post with the CBF's then-president Ednaldo Rodrigues appearing to announce his signature in June.

"[Fernando] Diniz is a coach whose game proposal is quite similar to that of the coach who will take over after the Copa America, Carlo Ancelotti," Rodrigues declared, when revealing that Diniz would be in the helm for at least a year.
