Real Madrid, Barcelona push for Inter Milan's Adriano

Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are both chasing Inter Milan star Adriano.

Inter's struggles this season have alerted both Real and Barca to the possibility that a frustrated Adriano could seek an escape route out of Italy at the end of the season.

At Real is Ronaldo, a close friend of Adriano's, and he admitted last week: "Adriano is the only champion that really appeals to me."

But there is also the great Brazilian influence at Barca, where superstar Ronaldinho recently remarked publicly to Adriano: "You should come to Barca; it is wonderful here!"

At Inter, Adriano is currently happy as the entire team has been built around him. But there are murmurings he may be frustrated at the way coach Roberto Mancini has forced him to play wide on the left in certain games this season.
