Real Madrid, Barcelona make tentative approach for Chelsea's Sturridge

Real Madrid and Barcelona are monitoring Danny Sturridge's situation at Chelsea.

Sturridge is unsettled at Chelsea after being played in a wide position by manager Andre Villas-Boas this season.

The striker has been linked with Arsenal and former club Manchester City.

However, the Daily Star Sunday says Sturridge's talent has also been recognised in Spain, where both Barcelona and Real are monitoring his situation.

The striker is now less than 18 months away from his current deal expiring.
