Real Madrid attempt to trump Wigan for Amr Zaki

Real Madrid have made contact with El Zamalek about the availability of striker Amr Zaki.

The Egypt international is on a season-long loan at Wigan Athletic, with the Premiership club insisting the 12-month deal is watertight.

However, Real have indicated to El Zamalek they're willing to pay £16 million to bring Zaki to Madrid in January.
