Real Madrid assure Arsenal over Wenger

Real Madrid vice-president Emilio Butragueno insists they won't be making an approach for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
 
He told BBC Radio Five Live's Sportsweek: "Wenger is Arsenal's coach and we have to be respectful to them."

"He's under contract so we cannot talk about that. We will probably make a decision on the manager this week."

Butragueno believes the Champions League ties will be of a very high quality and admits he is looking forward to the games.

"They are going to be very exciting matches for the fans and for football too," he added.

"Both teams are very offensive in the way they play and we are going to see two great games, I am sure of that."

"Arsenal have a very strong team and Wenger has done a great job but we have the first leg at home and we must get a good result."
