Real Madrid appoint ref Megia Davila to staff

Madrid ref Carlos Megía Dávila has courted controversy by joining the staff of Real Madrid!

Davila is still an active referee, though failed the fitness tests for this season. He has refereed in the Primera Liga since the 1995/96 season.

He joins Emilio Butragueno's public relations team at Real and his duties will include working as a liaison between the players and coaches at Real and the Liga's match officials.
