Real Madrid ahead of Arsenal in Thuram talks

Real Madrid are leading Arsenal in the race to sign Juventus defender Lilian Thuram.

Juve are inviting offers for the Frenchman, who is currently on £3.5 million-a-year at the Turin club.

Both Real and Arsenal are in talks with Thuram, but its reported the Spanish giants are being favoured by the defender as they're prepared to play him at centre-half.

Arsenal have told Thuram he will be signed primarily as a right-back.
