Real Madrid agree to sell Diogo to Zaragoza

Carlos Diogo has confirmed he's set to sign permanently with Real Zaragoza next week.

The Uruguay international wing-back is on-loan this season from Real Madrid, but will sign a four-year deal with Zaragoza next week after the two clubs agreed an outright transfer for the midfielder.

"I was told this and it's undoubtedly the best news I could have heard," said Diogo. "This city feels like home to me and I enjoy being part of the current Zaragoza project."

"Hopefully I can fulfil this contract (to 2011) and then extend it. Although you just never know what can happen in football. But if it is up to me, I will stay here for a very long time."
