Real Madrid agree personal terms with Gago

Real Madrid have struck personal terms with the agent of Boca Juniors midfielder Fernando Gago.
 
Gago's agent, Marcelo Lombilla, agreed terms with Real Madrid sports chief Pedja Mijatovic over lunch yesterday in Madrid. The deal is until 2012.

Meanwhile, Boca president Mauricio Macri maintains he wants Gago to play in their Copa Libertardores campaign.

"My desire is that Gago plays the next Copa Libertardores and I hope to see that happen, because it is very disappointing to have to lose a player who we created and watched grow in the club. It is impossible that Madrid can unveil Gago on Sunday or announce his signing because no agreement exists between the clubs."
