Real Madrid agree Milito fee with Independiente

Real Madrid have agreed terms with Independiente for defender Gaby Milito.

The Argentine will complete his move subject to a medical and agreeing personal terms.

The fee is thought to be £2.4 million.

Madrid's sports director Jorge Valdano said: "The agreement between the clubs is definitive although nothing has been signed."

Valdano added a final agreement would need to be delayed until July 17 as Milito is on duty with the Argentine national team.

Independiente president Andres Ducatenzeiler said his club had agreed a transfer fee with the Spanish powerhouse but added that Milito had still to agree personal terms.

The youngster will be offered a four-year contract by Real.
