Real Madrid again linked with Liverpool's Gerrard

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is again being linked with Real Madrid.

Following on from weekend press reports in England suggesting Gerrard could be sold in January, the midfielder is again being mentioned as a possible signing for Real.

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is reportedly ready to cash in on Gerrard as he seeks to rebuild his squad. With no fresh investment arriving, Benitez knows he must raise his own funds if he wants to work in the winter market.

Gerrard shares the same agent as Real's England trio, Michael Owen, David Beckham and Jon Woodgate. He also has reportedly told close friends that he doesn't believe he has the confidence of Benitez, despite rejecting an offer from Chelsea after Euro2004.
