Real Madrid ace Ronaldo reveals Chelsea offer

Real Madrid ace Ronaldo has confirmed he received an offer over the summer from Chelsea.

The Brazilian star is again a target for Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and he said: "An offer was made to me but it was not serious because my friend knows only too well that there was no way I would leave Real Madrid at this moment. But I wish Mr Abramovich all the best for the future."

"I'm a close friend of Mr Abramovich's business partner, so I've been hearing all about the big changes at Chelsea."

"It all sounds very interesting and I'm sure with Mr Abramovich's money, the club will achieve a lot of success. The Premiership is certainly a possibility in the future, I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be tempted to go on an English adventure at some point in my life."

He added: "There are some great clubs in England and Manchester United would, of course, be a fantastic club to play for - and also Chelsea."

"Right now, this is the furthest thing from my mind. But I've still got a good few years of my career left and in football, anything can happen."
