Real Madrid ace Raul thriving under Schuster

Raul believes his good form this season is due to a positional change made by Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster.

After his double against Racing Santander on Saturday, Raul told AS: "This season I feel very comfortable and it's a pleasure to play in this team. Schuster and all my companions have confidence in me and that makes me very happy."

"Now that I'm playing closer to the penalty area, I have more opportunities and so can score more goals. My position now, yes, is more attacking. But none of this would be happening for me if not for the support of my teammates."

"Ruud van Nistelrooy and I have a very good understanding, perfect. I am lucky to be playing alongside him. Thanks to his influence, I am now scoring more."
