Real Madrid ace Ozil: Everyone knows Arsenal striker Van Persie should not have been sent off

Real Madrid star Mesut Ozil says Arsenal striker Robin van Persie did not deserve his dismissal against Barcelona.

Van Persie saw red having been booked for booting the ball away after the whistle had been blown.

"Everyone saw that it was unfair," said Ozil. "How can you say anything else?"

On catching Barca in the Liga, Ozil added: "We hope they lose a match, of course. I think the season is still long and anything can happen."
