Real Madrid ace James: Barcelona were tired, they had no strength

Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez says at halftime of the El Clasico they were convinced they'd over-run Barcelona on Saturday.

Real, having gone into halftime at 1-1, eventually outclassed Barca 3-1 on the night.

James recalled: "At halftime, the players had faith we'd win. I saw personally that they (Barcelona) were tiring, they were giving us space, they had no strength."

"I said, 'here we'll win for sure'.

"I told Cristiano (Ronaldo), 'they are tired and we can attack them, they are giving us a lot of space'."
