Real Madrid ace Figo reveals Perez talks

Real Madrid winger Luis Figo has revealed he's held talks with president Florentino Perez about his future.
 
The Portugal international has a year left on his contract and could be handed a free transfer by Real ahead of the summer market opening.

Figo confirmed: "The president has called me. I was not the one who took the initiative, that's logical, because I am not the one that has to decide things."

"He only said that he wanted to see me and that my continuity would depend on Luxemburgo. I do not know who is the one that decides in the club. I believe that it is the president."

He added: "Florentino has never failed me and I don't expect him to now. I have a contract until 2006 and want to see it out. But the situation cannot continue. I need to know what is happening."
