Real Madrid ace Bale: Great to be back in Champions League

Gareth Bale was delighted to be part of Real Madrid's Champions League win at Galatasaray.

Bale featured as a second-half substitute and was influential in the 6-1 rout.

"It was great to be back in the Champions League," he said.

"It was great being involved in the last three goals of the team."

"I had no preseason and I could not play during the summer. Now the aim is to reach my top form as quickly as possible. I have to keep working hard in training and in games."
