Real leave it late to salvage draw with Dortmund

Holders Real Madrid needed a last gasp equaliser from Javier Portillo to salvage a 1-1 draw with Borussia Dortmund in their Champions League Group C game on Tuesday.

Substitute Portillo struck from a counter-attack two minutes into stoppage time to keep Real in second place in the group and reasonably well placed to reach the quarter-finals.

Real have five points from four games -- seven less than leaders AC Milan, who eased into the last eight with a 1-0 victory over Lokomotiv Moscow earlier on Tuesday.

Dortmund, who had opened the scoring through Czech striker Jan Koller in the 22nd minute, are in third place on four points.
