Real jet stars to Gala

Real Madrid will be laying on private jets for Raul and Luis Figo for the 2001 Player of the Year ceremony will in Zurich on Monday.

Raul, Luis Figo and David Beckham are the frontrunners to receive the award. Madrid have decided to hire a private plane for their stars whilst Zinedine Zidane is also likely to travel with his teammates.

The Royal Club president Florentino Perez, sporting director Jorge Valdano and another official Emilio Butragueno are also to be present at the ceremony.

Real are playing the King's Cup second leg match on the day after the ceremony, so everything depends on tomorrow's first leg result. If satisfactory, then the players will return from Zurich on Tuesday. If not, then they will return the same night.
