Real head for Egypt

Real Madrid flew out to Cairo on Friday morning to begin preparations for Saturday's clash with Al-Ahly.

Real coach Vicente Del Bosque is likely to field a similar side to the one that beat Montpellier 1-0 on Wednesday night. Iker Casillas and Savio Bortolini both gained plaudits with their displays against Montpellier and should be included in the starting line-up.

Del Bosque's 4-4-2 system will comprise of a back four of Geremi, Hierro, Karanka and Roberto Carlos; Makelele and Helguera in the centre of midfield with Figo and Savio manning the wings, and up front, Zidane will play behind lone striker Raul or Guti.

Flavio Concecaio will travel with the squad despite encountering tendon problems on Thursday, otherwise Del Bosque will have the luxury of a full squad to play with.

Recent Egyptian Cup winners, Al-Ahly were proclaimed as being the best African side of the century by FIFA last December and their rivals tomorrow will rake in $US 1.5million for starring in the match. The game is due to get underway at 9pm in the Egyptian capital.
