Real Give Up Trying To Sign Ronaldo

Ronaldo's future is far from clear this afternoon after Real Madrid declared on their official website that they have given up trying to sign the Brazilian superstar.

A statement from the European champions reads "There exists insolvable differences with Inter Milan for the signing of Ronaldo. After conversations this morning it has been realised that it is impossible to reach a satisfactory agreement, and for that reason both clubs have finished negotiating."

Florentino Perez and Massimo Moratti met yesterday in Madrid where it is believed Perez offered Inter 12 million euros plus Fernando Morientes and one of Flavio, Solari or Munitis. The deal wasn't deemed acceptable by Moratti and the pair seem to still be a long way from reaching an agreement, and so leaving Ronaldo in an extremely difficult position after creating irreconcilable differences with the club he now looks stuck with.
