Real face further Bravo fees

Real have learned they will have to pay a substantial fee to Third Division outfit Gandía if they continue to field young defender Raúl Bravo.

Gandía chairman Dionisio Ollero has revealed a clause in the player's contract that states that if he plays five games with Real Madrid, then the club must be paid $20,000.

Bravo joined Real from Gandía whilst he was still a teenager, but shrewd former chairman Ignacio Avilés included a number of financial conditions in the deal.

Gandía received $8,000 when Bravo played five games with Real Madrid's B team, but the figure is higher when the player is called up for the first-team.

The 20-year-old, who made his debut for the first team against Athletic Bilbao last Saturday, has been standing in for Roberto Carlos who injured his foot whilst on international duty with Brazil last week.
