Real disciplinary commission in pipeline

Real Madrid are thinking of creating a disciplinary commission to keep players' behaviour in check, newly-installed club president Fernando Martin revealed.

The commission, added Martin at his first press conference at the Santiago-Bernabeu stadium, would help form the best team and ensure players' behave with responsibility and loyalty.

"I am thinking of creating an independent commission to evaluate the players and their personal and sporting behaviour," Martin said.

"Real Madrid cannot only be a club of millionaires. It is also composed of fantastic sportsmen who give their all on the pitch and devote their life, 24 hours a day, to be in the best physical condition and to possess a winning mentality which the desire and pride of our supporters demand."

Ronaldo's comments before their 1-0 home Champions League defeat to Arsenal on February 21, saying Real fans had never supported him and he had never felt at home at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, had affected morale within the squad.

Martin took over the hotseat as president on Monday after an extraordinary meeting of the board confirmed former boss Florentino Perez had resigned.
