Real Could Move For Totti

Real Madrid sports chief Jorge Valdano has not ruled out a move for AS Roma playmaker Francesco Totti.

However, he did state that Ronaldo would not be going anywhere after fresh speculation over the Brazilian's future.

"No reason exists why the Phenomenon must go," he said. "Real acquires champions, not sell them. For us it has been a true and just transaction. We have sold 400.000 shirts with his name on and he has scored some important goals."

On Totti, Valdano said: "We know him very well, he scored the goal against us at the Bernabeu and made us suffer...we'll see."

However, Roma president Franco Sensi has stated that Totti is going nowhere: "The spine of the squad will not be touched. I do not only speak of Totti. He will always remain our captain. But also Samuel, Emerson, Cassano, Montella and Candela will remain with us and three others will arrive for a more competitive Roma."
