Florentino Perez has calculated that the club will rake in $US420,000 windfall from the sale of their Sporting City to Madrid's city council.

Florentino Perez has calculated that the club will rake in $US420,000 windfall from the sale of their Sporting City to Madrid's city council.

Perez's decision to sell off the training ground means that the club are back in the black and will be able to declare a total of revenues to the tune of $US550,000.

Perez has complied with his promise to lift the club out of huge debts to the taxman but the club's plan to sell off the training facilities has hit a stumbling block.

Various neighbours associations in the Spanish capital have opposed the operation saying that the land doesn't belong to Real Madrid and so therefore, they can't sell it off.

The associations are saying that Real paid only half of the money for the land back in 1965 with the other half being property of the local public.
