Real - Barca game sold out

Even before tickets have officially gone on sale, the November 4 clash between Real Madrid and Barcelona is already a sell-out.

With 74,000 tickets to share out, 58,000 have been automatically allocated to season ticket holders. Another 4,000 places are accounted for by invitations, directors’ and executive boxes, while the remainder will go to supporters associations and other club members.

The ticket office will not even open to the general public, though in the week leading up to the match there will be plenty of activity around the ground as the touts get into action. Tickets often sell for up to £400.

A fixture that almost always guarantees a packed Santiago Bernabeu Stadium takes on extra importance this season as the Merengues celebrate their centenary, and will be anxious to shine against their eternal rivals from the Catalan capital.
