Real Asked About Our Players - River Plate VP

Real Madrid beat River Plate 3-1 in a tribute game for the legendary Alfredo Di Stefano and the Spanish titans -amongst them the man of honour- took the opportunity to inquire about several of the Argentine side's players.

"Di Stefano and several board members of Real Madrid asked me about some of our players, especially the midfielder Daniel Luduena, the keeper Franco Costanzo and the striker Fernando Cavenaghi," River Plate vice president Julio Macchi revealed to the Spanish press.

"They knew Cavenaghi because they have been following his performances," he added, "but they got impressed by our goalkeeper and by Luduena."
