Raúl Will Be Back To His Best - Mijatovic
Predrag Mijatovic has leapt to the defence of Raúl González after the striker was criticised for having another quiet game against BATE in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The Real Madrid sport director believes that the club captain will bounce back after a slow start to the current campaign and start scoring goals and playing well.
Los Merengues beat BATE by only two goals and Raúl received a low rating from the media for his input in what many saw as a disappointing scoreline.
"Raúl will be back to his best soon. He has had a few problems, but this game will allow him to find his rhythm again," Mijatovic said.
"He will be back to doing what he did last year and scoring a lot of goals.
Mijatovic then reiterated Bernd Schuster's statement that Madrid need a convincing run in Europe this term and he had hoped that Juve would have drawn with Zenit St Petersburg in the same group.
"We have to have a good season in the Champions League," he continued. "It would have been best for us if (Juventus) had drawn but we are excited about playing them."
