Raul: Real Madrid would happily welcome Beckham

Real Madrid ace Raul says Manchester United midfielder David Beckham would be a welcome addition to the club's star-studded squad.

"I think David Beckham is a great player," he told The Observer. "Seeing the team-mates that have arrived recently, it is possible he could come as well. If he comes, the coach will find a place for him."

Raul also admitted if he were to ever leave Real, he'd like to play in the Premiership.

"Yes, it is one of my options," he said. "But it will be difficult to achieve it as I am in a big club, in my own city, in my country and I think it will be complicated to go somewhere else. But if by circumstances I have to go, England would probably be my destination."

"Manchester United and Arsenal are the two teams that I feel attracted to - me and other players, because of the level of football they play. I hope I never have to choose between them because I am very happy here and it is all very hypothetical."
