Raul Out Of Manchester United Clash

Raul will miss Real Madrid's Champions League clash with Manchester United after undergoing an emergency appendicitis operation.

The club's website announced that the striker complained of sharp pains in his abdomen at the training ground and was rushed to hospital with a high fever.

Alfonso del Corral preformed the operation at the Clinica Ruber in Madrid and Raul is said to b recovering well.

It will be a blow to Vicente Del Bosque's plans, but may allow him to field three central defenders with Ronaldo ploughing a lone furrow at the front as Madrid take a 3-1 lead to Old Trafford.
