Raul one goal shy of Di Stefano's European Cup record

Real Madrid's Spain striker Raul scored his 48th Champions League goal on Wednesday to move within one of the European Cup record held by his club predecessor Alfredo Di Stefano.

Raul got his 48th in the 38th minute of Real's Group B match at Dynamo Kiev as the Spaniards fought back from 2-0 down to reach halftime level at 2-2.

Argentine Di Stefano was one of the key players in the Real Madrid sides that won the first five European Cups, scoring in every final.
