Raul: Keane great for Real Madrid

Real Madrid have tabled a six-month, £70,000-a-week, contract to Roy Keane's chief advisor, Michael Kennedy.
 
Real are convinced they will sign the Irishman and already have a medical report from the former Manchester United midfielder - though nothing will be confirmed until club doctors give Keane the once over.

Real skipper Raul has backed Keane's signing: "He is a great player, if he arrives at Real Madrid, I'm certain that everything he can contribute will be positive."

Real are understood to have penciled in Keane as a guaranteed starter in their Copa del Rey campaign and will also use him as midfield cover in the Liga.
