Raul Is One Of A Kind For Real Madrid

The new Madrid boss says it may be a long time before we ever see the likes of Raul Gonzalez Blanco again.

Real Madrid produced arguably their best display under the stewardship of Jaunde Ramos this afternoon, confidently seeing off Sporting Gijon 4-0 at El Molinon.

Raul did the damage for Los Blancos, netting twice and in the process passing Alfredo di Stefano's record as the leading goalscorer of the club, moving onto 309 goals in what has been a glittering career for the legendary forward.

Marcelo and new signing Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scored the other goals, with both players notching their first ever goals for the club.

But at the post-match press conference the praise was reserved for Raul, with Juande Ramos waxing lyrical about the legendary forward.

He stated, "It will take many years before we see another like him. Raul has a history worthy of praise, and it will take years for anyone to surpass him."

"He is always on the front line, and has carried the weight of expectation at the club on his shoulders. He has to be congratulated."

The win this afternoon closed the gap on leaders Barcelona to ten points, and Ramos admitted that even though his side had closed the gap, the Blaugrana of course still hold a huge advantage.

He added, "We have edged two points closer, but it remains very difficult, it is up to us and we must await developments from them."
