Raul Albiol Urges His Real Madrid Team-Mates To Move On After Alcorcon Shocker

Real Madrid defender Raul Albiol has said that his team must move on from their humiliating four goal drubbing at the hands of Segunda Division B side Alcorcon in the Copa del Rey on Tuesday.

The former Valencia defender admitted that he had a sleepless night following the unexpected defeat but he insists that the players must show their support for coach Manuel Pellegrini with performances on the pitch.

"It was a disaster, we did not expect to lose 4-0 to a team from Segunda B. After a match like that I could not sleep all night. We are sad but you wake up knowing that there is another game on Saturday and we must turn the page as soon as possible," he said according to Sport.

"We're with the coach til death and we want to show on the pitch the idea we want to convey. He [Pellegrini] has the same face of disappointment that the players have for losing a game you cannot lose."

The 24-year-old centre-half said that things will return to normal if they manage a win against Getafe on Saturday.

"Today we begin a new day. On Saturday we play in the league, we cannot drop more points. Now we have four very important games and if we win, the first being with Getafe on Saturday, everything will return to normal. The team cannot go crazy," he said.
