Ramos: We Can Hurt Barcelona

Sergio Ramos believes Real Madrid can seriously dent Barcelona's title hopes with a win at Camp Nou tonight.

The two Spanish giants meet tonight separated by four points, in what could turn out to be a crucial game in the title race.

"Although I would never write Barcelona off, because there's still a long way to go this season, there's no doubt if we win at Camp Nou it would be a huge blow for them," said Ramos.

It could indeed be a big blow, for a seven point deficit at the top of the table would put intense pressure on Frank Rijkaard and his future.

"Both teams are fighting for the championship, but there's no doubt that if Barca were to lose at home, it would hurt them much more."

Ramos was among nine players rested by Bernd Schuster for the midweek game against Alicante, and will start at right-back tonight.
