Ramos: Forget style, Real Madrid just need points

Real Madrid coach Juande Ramos accepted they weren't at their best for yesterday's 2-0 victory over Real Valladolid.

Raul and Robben struck for the hosts to maintain pressure on leaders Barcelona.

Ramos said: "It's doesn't matter whether we played well or not, the argument is misplaced. It's easy to play well and lose badly. It's more difficult to not play well and still win. The priority is the points."

"Barcelona are under less pressure, of course I'd like to be in their situation. For us, we cannot afford any slip ups."

The Real coach also gave Guti a half-hour in the second-half and added: "Guti is the best in the world with the final pass. But every player has their good things and their weaknesses. The team is performing well and it is difficult to make changes."

"He is not in the team because he's been injured a lot of time and to include him I would have to drop someone who is playing well."
