Van der Vaart refuses to speculate on rumours of a switch
Hamburg playmaker Rafael van der Vaart has refused to confirm or deny reports claiming that he is poised to complete a transfer to Real Madrid.
The Holland international has previously hinted that he would be keen to ply his trade in Spain at some stage in his career.
Van der Vaart's displays at Euro 2008 reportedly attracted the interest of Real, and Spanish newspaper Marca has claimed that a deal has been struck between Hamburg and the Primera Division champions.
When asked about the rumours, which suggest he has inked a five-year deal at the Bernabeu, the 25-year-old refused to speculate.
"I have read about it and now see that I can get more information," he told Bild.
"I don't want to make any further comment at the current time."
