Racing Santander’s Canales tracked by Real Madrid

Racing Santander midfielder Sergio Canales is being tracked by Real Madrid.

Marca says Real are chasing the 18 year-old, who did see action in the weekend's 1-0 defeat to the Madrid giants.

Real intend to sign Canales in January before loaning him back to Racing for the remainder of this season - and possibly the next - in order for the youngster to continue his development.

However, Racing president Francisco Pernia is reluctant to sell and has already been in touch with the Canales family about new contract talks.
