Racing eye Alvarez

Spanish second division battlers Racing Santander are keen to take Real Madrid midfielder Julio Alvarez on loan once again next season.

The 20-year-old joined the Cantabrians at the start of last season but fell injured after
playing just 12 matches.

Racing chief Gustavo Benitez wants to see Alvarez return to the Sardinero to reinforce the right side of midfield, occupied last year by Emilio Amavisca, who is set to play for Deportivo next season.

Alvarez has received other loan offers but has said that he would not be opposed to returning to Racing again - despite the fact that he would be playing in the Segunda.
