PSV ace Van Bommel tops Real Madrid list

PSV Eindhoven midfielder Mark van Bommel tops Real Madrid's shopping list for next season's squad.

Real sports director Emilio Butragueno and director Ramon Martinez have drawn up a long list of recruits for season 2005/06, with strong emphasis on central midfield.

President Florentino Perez has been handed the list, which has Van Bommel on top. Butragueno has already asked Perez for the Holland international's transfer, though PSV are believed ready to insist on a big fee for the 27 year-old.
