PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe reveals what it will take to keep him in Paris

The Frenchman has named his demand amid growing interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The future of PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe has been a hot issue in the footballing world, with his French employers keen on tying him down to a new deal. Many have speculated whether the 2018 World Cup winner is keen on leaving but only now have his alleged contract demands emerged.

The 22-year-old sensation will be entering the final year of his Parc des Princes deal this summer, with his contract set to expire in June 2022. So far, the Ligue 1 giants have failed to make progress towards an extension and with Real Madrid lurking in the background, it has become a worrying issue.

Los Blancos are one of many European giants keen on prying Mbappe away from PSG, meaning Les Parisiens could be forced to sell the former Monaco starlet this summer or they will risk losing him for free in a year's time. However, is Kylian keen on an exit? According to Diario AS, he has informed the Paris heavyweights what it will take to keep him in the French capital.

Surprise, surprise, it's a pay raise. The goalscoring machine is reportedly demanding an annual salary of €35M, which translates into $41.6M. This would take him level with Neymar as the highest paid player at the club but despite PSG's seemingly endless flow of cash, Pochettino's side are unlikely to accept his terms.

As a result, sporting director Leonardo could push for a summer sale with the hope being to raise €200M ($238M) from his exit. However, Diario AS claim that Man City will end their pursuit of Mbappe as they are not in favor of breaking their wage structure for the Frenchman while adding that Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are only open to a deal in the region of €150M ($178.5M).
