PSG confirm Real Madrid talks over Ronaldinho

Paris Saint Germain president Francois Graille has confirmed Real Madrid are still interested in Brazilian Ronaldinho.

Real was expected to drop out of the race for the striker following their capture of Manchester United's David Beckham last week.

But Graille said, "We have remained in phone contact with Real Madrid in the past few days."

"They (Madrid) have taken information on Ronaldinho. This is normal, great clubs talk to each other, but there was no mention of an actual sale to Real Madrid. We talked about many things, not only about Ronaldinho."

Manchester United and Barcelona are also chasing the 23 year-old, whose brother and agent Roberto Assis held talks with Newcastle chairman Freddy Shepherd last week.

"Our position remains unchanged regarding this player. For us he stays with PSG," added Graille.

"There is no arm-wrestling between us. At the moment Ronnie's entourage are thinking about the player's interest while we are thinking about the club's interest."
