BARCELONA 3 REAL ZARAGOZA 1

Barca's Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho inspired his side to victory in a scintillating game of attacking football in the Nou Camp.

Zaragoza's Argentine defender Gabriel Milito volleyed the visitors in front from a corner after 17 minutes, but Ronaldinho levelled in the 30th minute rising to head Deco's corner in at the far post.

Barca had Brazilian midfielder Thiago Motta harshly sent off in the 73rd minute, and seven minutes later Gabriel Milito followed him down the tunnel after fouling Javier Saviola.

Ronaldinho curled a stunning free-kick into the top corner with four minutes remaining and struck another against the crossbar in time added on which Saviola followed up to head home.

CELTA VIGO 1 RECREATIVO HUELVA 2

Celta were off the pace against a fired-up Recre and it was only a matter of time before the visitors made their dominance count.

French striker Florent Sinama Pongolle scored with a header from an Emilio Viqueira free-kick in the 48th minute, and Nigerian striker Ikechukwu Uche sprinted clear on a counter-attack to net the second in the 57th.

Celta pulled a goal back through Antonio Guayre, who rounded the keeper to score eight minutes from time, and Celta finished with 10 men as Romanian defender Gabriel Tamas was sent off in the 86th.

GETAFE 1 REAL MALLORCA 0

Getafe midfielder Nacho pounced to score after Mallorca goalkeeper Toni Prats spilled a soft shot in the 60th minute to remain unbeaten at home.

Their Argentinian goalkeeper Roberto Abbondanzieri made a fine save in the last minute which means Getafe have yet to concede a goal at home this season.

GIMNASTIC 0 DEPORTIVO CORUNA 0

Gimnastic were applauded off the pitch after ending a run of seven straights defeats in the league and Cup with an improved display and by keeping a rare clean sheet.

Depor have yet to win away from home this season.

OSASUNA 1 REAL MADRID 4

Real made it four wins in five away from home with Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy scoring all four goals.

He bagged his first in the 12th minute after Osasuna keeper Ricardo failed to hold Robinho's shot and poached a second in the 27th as a ball broke free in the area. Raul put the Dutchman though to complete his hat-trick in the 45th minute.

Osasuna pulled a goal back with a header at a corner from Valdo in the 64th but Van Nistelrooy scored his fourth curling in a shot from the edge of the area six minutes from time.

RACING SANTANDER 0 SEVILLA 0

Sevilla were stretched to the limit for most of this game as Racing's giant Serbian striker Nikola Zigic and winger Pedro Munitis caused them untold problems.

Visiting goalkeeper Andres Palop made a string of fine saves as Juande Ramos's side were unable to find any kind of rhythm.

REAL BETIS 2 LEVANTE 1

Under-pressure Betis coach Javier Irureta saw his side take the lead after just six minutes when Brazilian forward Edu headed Miguel Angel's freekick in unopposed.

But a lively Levante drew level in the 63rd minute as Diego Camacho's surging run and pass was buried by striker Riga from the edge of the area.

Betis's Capi grabbad a late winner with a fine individual effort and in the last minute Levante defender Alvaro was sent off.

REAL SOCIEDAD 1 ESPANYOL 1

This result did little to help either side or their coaches Miguel Angel Lotina and Ernesto Valverde, who are both feeling the heat at present.

Basement side Sociedad, who have yet to win in the league this season, went ahead through striker Inigo Diaz de Cerio who lashed a shot in from Gari Uranga's knockdown after 31 minutes.

But Espanyol secured their sixth consecutive draw when Luis Garcia played a neat one-two with Ivan de la Pena to equalise in the 54th.

ATLETICO MADRID 3 VILLARREAL 1

An impressive comeback win for Atletico who fell behind when Villarreal defender Fabricio Fuentes took advantage of some slack defending to head in following a Juan Roman Riquelme free kick.

Portuguese centre-back Ze Castro nodded in the equaliser on 37 minutes and Fernando Torres put Atletico in front on the stroke of halftime with a coolly taken penalty after he had been cut down in the area by Pascal Cygan.

Argentine teenager Sergio Aguero put the icing on the cake midway through the second half when he dinked in from 15 metres. Villarreal were reduced to 10 men when former Atletico forward Jose Mari was sent off for a two-footed challenge on Yourkas Seitaridis.

VALENCIA 1 ATHLETIC BILBAO 1

A late header from Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente ended Valencia's 100 percent record at the Mestalla this season and dented the home side's chances of keeping the pressures on the leaders.

Valencia had looked on course for the win when Fernando Morientes notched his fifth league goal of the season after angling a shot into the far corner a minute before halftime, but Llorente earned the visitors a valuable point when he nodded home in the 89th minute.
