CADIZ 1 OSASUNA 3

Osasuna kept pace with the leaders by coming from behind after Cadiz had taken the lead when Argentine forward Lucas Lobos dinked a free kick over the wall after 15 minutes.

Serbia & Montenegro striker Savo Milosevic equalised with a header in the 35th minute and two minutes later David Lopez curled a free kick round the wall.

Cadiz had Uruguayan striker Alexander Medina sent off 14 minutes from time and Raul Garcia scored the third from 20 metres in the final minute.

DEPORTIVO CORUNA 1 REAL ZARAGOZA 1

King's Cup finalists Zaragoza took the lead after 17 minutes when Alvaro headed Leonardo Ponzio's free kick to Argentine striker Diego Milito to head his 12th goal of the season.

Depor, who could meet Zaragoza in the Cup final, have struggled at home this season but they levelled in the 55th when Pedro Munitis scored direct from a free kick.

The home side finished with 10 men after Argentine defender Fabricio Coloccini was sent off in the 82nd minute.

GETAFE 0 ATLETICO MADRID 3

Atletico made it five wins in a row with a convincing derby victory.

A poor clearance from a free kick after half an hour allowed French midfielder Peter Luccin to score with a low shot and another free kick after 49 minutes broke to Argentine forward Maxi Rodriguez, who buried his effort at the near post.

Spain striker Fernando Torres sped clear to score the third in the 64th minute.

MALAGA 0 REAL MALLORCA 2

New coach Gregorio Manzano led Mallorca to their first win in 10 games at his former club and dragged them off the foot of the table.

Argentine forward Leonardo Pisculichi made the most of some poor defending to spin clear and fire the opener after 55 minutes and Alejandro Campano lashed a shot in from the edge of the area in injury time.

Mallorca had Argentine defender Eduardo Tuzzio sent off at the end.

RACING SANTANDER 0 ATHLETIC BILBAO 1

Bilbao came out on top in a bad-tempered affair which the home side dominated throughout.

Four minutes from time Bilbao striker Ismael Urzaiz broke away on a counter-attack to score the winner with the visitors' first shot on target.

Racing had defender Jose Moraton sent off in the last minute.

REAL SOCIEDAD 1 VALENCIA 2

Valencia came back after conceding a goal from Sociedad's Danish striker Morten Skoubo in the first minute.

Skoubo controlled a long ball and fired past a surprised Santiago Canizares from outside the area, but Valencia patiently worked their way back into the game.

Uruguayan winger Mario Regueiro scored the equaliser from a narrow angle after 69 minutes, and nine minutes later latched on to a poor back pass to round the keeper for the second.

BARCELONA 5 REAL BETIS 1

Ronaldinho returned from suspension to inspire Barca to victory against an unfortunate Betis who made plenty of chances.

Sweden striker Henrik Larsson scored from Samuel Eto'o's cross after 17 minutes and Betis defender Melli turned Ronaldinho's pass into his own goal in the 29th.

Ronaldinho's free kick five minutes later hit the wall and came off Melli again for the third, while Antonio Doblas was unable to hold another free kick from the Brazilian as Barca grabbed a fourth just before the hour.

Joaquin pulled a goal back for Betis with a free kick in the 62nd, surprising Victor Valdes at his near post, but Argentine substitute Lionel Messi's persistence made it five with six minutes left as he fired in off a post.

REAL MADRID 3 ALAVES 0

Real Madrid made it six consecutive league wins.

Robinho fed Guti for the opener after just six minutes and five minutes later Robinho fired into the roof of the net after Julio Baptista's overhead kick crashed against a post.

Alaves president Dimitry Piterman sacked his coach last week and insisted on an offensive line-up but his three forwards were starved of possession.

Real striker Raul returned from a three-month injury layoff in the second half while fellow substitutes Antonio Cassano and Cicinho combined for the Brazilian to score a third 12 minutes from time.

SEVILLA 1 CELTA VIGO 0

Sevilla took the lead through Javier Saviola after 11 minutes when Adriano broke from midfield and played the Argentine into the area to score in the far corner.

The home side nearly paid for not making their early dominance count as Celta came back strongly after the break and Sevilla had keeper Andres Palop to thank for securing the win.

VILLARREAL 4 ESPANYOL 0

Espanyol matched Villarreal in the first half but luck favoured the home side who scored three times before the break.

After 24 minutes Javi Venta's deflected shot fell to Jose Mari, who squared for Italian midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi to poke in from close range.

Daniel Jarque deflected Marcos Senna's volley into his own net after 35 minutes and three minutes later Uruguayan striker Diego Forlan scored a scrappy third at his fourth attempt.

Eight minutes from time Forlan picked out Hector Font with a great pass, which the midfielder hit low into the corner.
