ATHLETIC BILBAO 1 DEPORTIVO CORUNA 2

Deportivo came from behind to claim their first league win of the season with a last-minute Albert Luque goal.

Andoni Iraola had slipped a shot through Jose Molina's legs to put Bilbao ahead in the 55th minute, with Deportivo levelling within a minute when Walter Pandiani headed in a cross from Joan Capdevila.

A drab game looked to be heading to a draw before Luque found space in the penalty area to convert a low cross from Enrique Romero two minutes into injury-time.

ATLETICO MADRID 1 BARCELONA 1

Barcelona will regard this draw as a missed opportunity after taking a first-half lead and dominating for almost the entire 90 minutes.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst put Barcelona ahead in the 23rd minute but Fernando Torres grabbed the equaliser early in the second half and Atletico held on to claim a valiant draw.

The result left Atletico and Barca among six sides level at the top on seven points from three games.

NUMANCIA 1 GETAFE 0

Numancia, unlucky to lose 1-0 at Real Madrid last week, claimed their first win of the season thanks to an early goal from Julio Pineda, who took advantage of hesitation in the Getafe defence to round the keeper and score.

The home side had French defender Stephane Pignol sent off in the 67th minute but Getafe rarely threatened to equalise.

RACING SANTANDER 1 VILLARREAL 1

Racing got their first point of the season after being let off the hook by a superior Villarreal side.

Villarreal went ahead in the 59th minute when Juan Roman Riquelme slipped a pass out wide for Sonny Anderson to beat the keeper with a low drive.

Racing snatched a point when Juanma headed in at the far post from a free kick in the 91st minute.

REAL MALLORCA 1 MALAGA 2

Malaga had not managed a goal in their first two league games but with Edgar, Marcio Amoroso and Paulo Wanchope all playing together they looked a far more dangerous prospect here and deserved their first win.

Edgar got the opener in the 23rd minute when he took a long ball forward from Miguel Angel and swept it in before team mate Amoroso smacked a penalty against the bar.

Mallorca equalised through Andrija Delibasic in the 71st minute but Wanchope clinched the points with a powerful header nine minutes from time.

REAL ZARAGOZA 4 ALBACETE 3

Zaragoza continued their good start with this entertaining victory. Javi Moreno put them ahead with 75 seconds on the clock but Albacete hit back to take the lead going into halftime with close range strikes from Antonio Pacheco and Pablo Redondo.

Moreno headed Zaragoza level shortly after the break and Savio scored one and created another for David Villa to put the home side 4-2 ahead. Ruben Castro's 89th minute reply came too late for Albacete, who are still without a point.

SEVILLA 3 LEVANTE 0

Sevilla recovered from their defeat by Barcelona last weekend with this emphatic victory over promoted Levante. Renato's excellent header opened the scoring after 20 minutes and Julio Baptista added two in quick succession at the start of the second half to seal the win.

ESPANYOL 1 REAL MADRID 0

Ronaldo missed a penalty and Walter Samuel and Michel Salgado were both sent off as a patched up Real Madrid side suffered their first defeat of the domestic season.

Espanyol striker Raul Tamudo had a penalty saved twice by Real's stand-in keeper Cesar -- forced to play on through a knee injury after Iker Casillas dislocated a finger in the warm-up -- but Maxi Rodriguez put the home side ahead from a Dani cross just before halftime.

Real should have equalised when Ronaldo won a penalty five minutes into the second half but the Brazilian's kick was well saved by Carlos Kameni and Jose Antonio Camacho's side finished in disarray.

OSASUNA 3 REAL BETIS 2

Osasuna twice had to come from behind to claim victory from a thrilling game. Betis took the lead with a Melli header at the far post in the 34th minute before John Aloisi bundled in for the equaliser nine minutes after the break.

Edu headed Betis back into the lead 10 minutes later but Melli then turned from hero to villain when he headed over his own keeper to make it 2-2. Savo Milosevic struck a brilliant winner eight minutes from time.

VALENCIA 3 REAL SOCIEDAD 1

Marco Di Vaio struck twice to lead the champions to a convincing victory over Sociedad, who are still without a win this season. Di Vaio headed in the first from a Vicente free kick in the 37th minute and the Italian striker made it 2-0 shortly after the break from a Pablo Aimar pass.

Curro Torres found Mista at the far post for the third and all Sociedad could muster in reply was a late penalty, converted by Mikel Arteta.
