RACING SANTANDER 0 SEVILLA 4

Sevilla took their first points in three games and their first away win of the season thanks to a devastating first-half performance against Racing.

Brazilian striker Julio Baptista scored with a well-struck free kick on 13 minutes and Dario Silva added a second midway through the half after midfielder Marti had chipped a neat pass over the Racing defence and into his path.

Baptista notched his second on the stroke of halftime when he drilled in under Racing keeper Ricardo after another fine pass from Marti and Jose Antonio Reyes completed the rout with a classy solo effort just after the break.

REAL ZARAGOZA 2 ATHLETIC BILBAO 2

Bilbao will be kicking themselves for letting slip a two-goal lead, but Zaragoza once again showed real character to mount an impressive comeback and earn a point.

Francisco Yeste put Bilbao ahead with a thundering 25-metre free kick on 12 minutes and fellow midfielder Tiko doubled their lead with a fine individual effort soon after.

But Zaragoza retained their composure and two minutes later David Villa made the most of a defensive mix-up to pull one back. The former Sporting Gijon striker grabbed his second to level the game two minutes after the break when he headed in at the near post after a magnificent cross from Luciano Galletti.
